Carolina Sofrony, a former student of the class of ‘98, studied ecology at the Javeriana University with a master’s degree in “environmental management and conservation†in Edinburgh. Thanks to the academic knowledge acquired at Rochester School and university, she continued exploring these issues with solid understanding.
Carolina is dedicated to recognizing other forms of conservation beyond protected areas through processes with the local community, indigenous territories, civil society, productive sectors, integrating the necessary processes for preserving the ecosystem’s health. We congratulate our former student Carolina for her remarkable career and accomplishments!
