As part of the Middle School Integrated Project, ‘I am an Olympian’, 7th Graders explored the history of the Olympic Games and their influence on society across time and culture. They investigated the 1972 Munich Olympic Games terrorist attack and the treatment of the American athlete, Jesse Owens, at the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games. Finally, they gave a written and visual presentation on those events and explained their connection to human group behaviors such as terrorism, nationalism, racism, and discrimination.

Resumen: Como parte del Proyecto Integrado de la Escuela Intermedia, “Soy un atleta olímpico”, los estudiantes de 6º Grado exploraron la historia de los Juegos Olímpicos y su influencia en la sociedad a través del tiempo y la cultura. Investigaron el ataque terrorista de los Juegos Olímpicos de Munich de 1972 y el tratamiento del atleta estadounidense, Jesse Owens, en los Juegos Olímpicos de Berlín de 1936.
