La Danza y el Teatro Articulándose en los Proyectos Integrados de Primaria Alta

Durante este bimestre, los estudiantes de Tercero y Cuarto grado de Primaria Alta han encaminado sus habilidades para articularse, desde las clases de Danza y Teatro, con sus proyectos integrados. Esta experiencia artística les ha permitido realizar conexiones significativas con nuestro folclor colombiano, al mismo tiempo que fortalecen las habilidades técnicas e interpretativas desarrolladas en clase. En tercer grado estamos trabajando el proyecto integrado Cosechando Virtudes y en cuarto grado el proyecto llamado Road Trip.

Las actividades realizadas están enmarcadas en el eje temático Experiencia y Creación Artística, bajo un currículo que enmarca el aprendizaje intercultural, como lo son: 

• En Tercer Grado. Unidad 4: Mi Cultura en Relación con Otras Culturas, Lección 2: Creación colectiva de gesto, mestizaje y espacio. 

• En Cuarto Grado. Unidad 4: Nuestra Herencia. Lección 2: Proyecto Coreográfico: Rituales culturales y el mestizaje.

Los estudiantes de tercero han proyectado sus habilidades de teatro y danza para comprender y evidenciar, desde el movimiento y la voz, el cuidado y amor por la naturaleza. A través de montajes escénicos, rendimos homenaje a nuestros campesinos colombianos, los cultivos y las huertas. Este recorrido artístico culminará en la “Danza de la Siembra”, inspirada en la Danza de Laboreo del Departamento del Tolima, al ritmo de Rajaleña. El proceso inicia en pequeños grupos para luego unificar las ideas en una sola coreografía, como cierre del cuarto y último bimestre.

En Cuarto Grado, la aventura se ha centrado en el desarrollo de puestas en escena y bailes folclóricos colombianos, enlazando la creación coreográfica con la temática del road trip de los proyectos integrados. Cada grupo explorará las siguientes danzas según su asignación regional:

• Cuarto A: Región Caribe (Danza de la Chichamaya, Danza del Congo y Champeta)

• Cuarto B: Región Andina (Vueltas Antioqueñas)

• Cuarto C: Región Pacífica (Salsa Caleña y Salsa Choque)

El producto final de este trabajo conjunto será presentado en un vídeo que recogerá los montajes escénicos y coreográficos, dando contexto y cierre a los proyectos integrados. Es fundamental destacar que tanto la investigación como la composición artística han sido realizadas por los propios estudiantes, quienes han demostrado gran creatividad y compromiso.

Este proyecto no solo resalta la riqueza de nuestro folclor colombiano, sino que también invita a valorar nuestras raíces, la conexión con la naturaleza, y el poder transformador del arte. Cada gesto, cada paso y cada escena son un testimonio vivo del amor de nuestros estudiantes por la danza, el teatro y su cultura. ¡Sigamos sembrando arte y cosechando sueños!

Dance and Theater Articulating in Integrated Upper Elementary Projects

During this two-month period, Fourth and Fifth grade- Upper Elementary students have been developing their articulation skills through integrated projects in Dance and Theater classes. This artistic experience has allowed them to make meaningful connections with our Colombian folklore, while strengthening the technical and interpretive skills developed in class. In third grade, we are working on the integrated project Harvesting Virtues, and in fourth grade, on the project called Road Trip.

The activities carried out are framed within the thematic axis of Artistic Experience and Creation, under a curriculum that emphasizes intercultural learning, such as:

In Fourth Grade. Unit 4: My Culture in Relation to Other Cultures, Lesson 2: Collective Creation of Gesture, Blending, and Space.

In Fifth Grade. Unit 4: Our Heritage. Lesson 2: Choreographic Project: Cultural Rituals and Blending.

Fourth-year students have leveraged their theater and dance skills to understand and demonstrate, through movement and voice, the care and love for nature. Through stage productions, we pay tribute to our Colombian farmers, crops, and gardens. This artistic journey will culminate in the "Danza de la Siembra," inspired by the Laboreo Dance of the Department of Tolima, to the rhythm of Rajaleña. The process begins in small groups and then unifies the ideas into a single choreography, as the closing of the fourth and final semester.

In Fifth Grade, the adventure has focused on the development of Colombian folkloric dances and performances, linking choreographic creation with the road trip theme of the integrated projects. Each group will explore the following dances according to their regional assignment:

• Quarter A: Caribbean Region (Chichamaya Dance, Congo Dance, and Champeta)

• Quarter B: Andean Region (Antioquia Vueltas)

• Quarter C: Pacific Region (Caleña Salsa and Choque Salsa)

The final product of this collaborative work will be presented in a video that will capture the stage and choreographic productions, providing context and closure to the integrated projects. It is essential to highlight that both the research and the artistic composition were carried out by the students themselves, who have demonstrated great creativity and commitment.

This project not only highlights the richness of our Colombian folklore, but also invites us to value our roots, our connection with nature, and the transformative power of art. Every gesture, every step, and every scene are a living testament to our students' love for dance, theater, and their culture. Let's continue sowing art and harvesting dreams!
