Manuela Santamaría: el Poder de la Conexión, la Disciplina y el Equilibrio en Movimiento

Lograr una medalla en el salto ecuestre no es cuestión de suerte. Es el resultado de un vínculo construido a diario con un ser vivo de 500 kilos. Es entender que no se compite contra un caballo, sino con él. Es madrugar, entrenar, cuidar, esperar, volver a intentar. Es caer y levantarse. Una y otra vez.

Por eso hoy celebramos con orgullo a Manuela Santamaría, estudiante del Colegio Rochester, quien brilló recientemente en el Concurso Nacional de Salto 5 Estrellas, realizado en el Club Campestre de Cali. Manuela obtuvo:

🥇 Primer lugar – Categoría Infantil B – Acumulado del Concurso Nacional de Salto 3 Estrellas.

🥇 Primer lugar – Concurso Nacional de Salto 5 Estrellas-GTC – Categoría Infantil B.

🥉 Tercer lugar – Calificativo Clásico Infantil A – Concurso Nacional de Salto 5 Estrellas-GTC.

Estos logros reflejan el altísimo nivel de rendimiento que requiere esta disciplina: entrenamiento físico y técnico constante, inteligencia emocional, una capacidad excepcional de concentración y, sobre todo, una conexión profunda con su caballo, que se construye con paciencia, respeto y constancia.

El salto ecuestre es un deporte en el que la coordinación, el control del cuerpo, la lectura del espacio y la toma de decisiones en fracciones de segundo son esenciales. Cada salto es una ecuación que exige confianza mutua, precisión milimétrica y coraje.

Y Manuela, aún siendo estudiante, demuestra lo que significa ser verdaderamente integral: mantener la excelencia académica, vivir los valores Rochester y al mismo tiempo alcanzar un nivel deportivo de alto rendimiento. Achieving a medal in equestrian show jumping is not a matter of luck. It is the result of a bond built on a daily basis with a living being weighing 500 kilos. It is to understand that one does not compete against a horse, but with him. It is to get up early, train, take care, wait, try again. It is falling down and getting up. Again and again.

That is why today we proudly celebrate Manuela Santamaría, a student of Rochester School, who recently shined in the National 5 Star Show Jumping Competition, held at the Club Campestre de Cali. Manuela obtained:

🥇 First place - Children's B Category - National Show Jumping 3 Star Competition Cumulative.

🥇 First place - National Show Jumping Competition 5 Stars-GTC - Children's Category B.● 🥉 Third place - Children's Classic A Qualifier - National Show Jumping Competition 5 Stars-GTC.

These achievements reflect the extremely high level of performance that this discipline requires: constant physical and technical training, emotional intelligence, an exceptional ability to concentrate and, above all, a deep connection with her horse, which is built with patience, respect and consistency.

Equestrian jumping is a sport in which coordination, body control, spatial awareness, and split-second decision making are essential. Each jump is an equation that demands mutual trust, millimetric precision, and courage.
