Over the past few weeks, the kindergarten students have been learning to predict situations and make hypotheses through experiments using the scientific method. One of the experiments was to make a volcano using clay, baking soda, paint and vinegar while they questioned what it is about the vinegar that makes it explode. Another experiment was with flowers and ink while they questioned why the flower absorbs the color of the ink only when is placed in water. The students have recorded their hypotheses and conclusions in their science logs. It has been a very fun activity for them, they feel curious and more eager to continue learning.

Durante las últimas semanas, los estudiantes de jardín están aprendiendo a predecir situaciones y a realizar hipótesis por medio de experimentos usando el método científico. Uno de los experimentos fue realizar un volcán con ayuda de arcilla, bicarbonato, pintura y vinagre mientras se cuestionan qué tiene el vinagre que hace que explote. Otro experimento fue con flores y tinta mientras ellos se cuestionaban el por qué la flor absorbe el color de la tinta solo al ponerla al agua. Los estudiantes han plasmado sus hipótesis y conclusiones en sus bitácoras de ciencias. Ha sido una actividad muy divertida para ellos, se sienten curiosos y con más ganas de seguir aprendiendo.
