This quarter, we have made significant progress in teaching Religious Education with the eigth grade students. We did not simply provide them with character names, genealogies and stories; rather, we strived to make a vital connection between those words and their daily lives. We understand that it is futile to inundate students with information if we do not help them reflect on how they can apply what they learn to their daily lives.
In the Religious Education class, the students immersed themselves in a constructive project. They each prepared a booklet in which they applied the teachings of Jesus, drawn from the relevant biblical texts, to national, school and family realities. This was not only a theoretical exercise; it was an opportunity for the students to reflect on how to put into practice the values and principles they learned from the Bible in their daily environment.
Outstanding students Santiago Camacho, Jerónimo Borrero, Romeo Montoya and Tomás Rivera share with us how they were able to make meaningful connections between what they learned from the Bible and their daily lives. This achievement not only demonstrates their deep understanding of biblical principles, but also their ability to apply that knowledge in a tangible and meaningful way in their reality. La Clave: Aplicación de las enseñanzas bíblicas a la vida cotidiana.
Este trimestre, hemos logrado un avance significativo en la enseñanza de Educación Religiosa con los estudiantes de séptimo grado. No nos limitamos a proporcionarles nombres de personajes, genealogías y relatos; más bien, nos esforzamos por establecer una conexión vital entre esas palabras y sus vidas diarias. Entendemos que es inútil inundar a los estudiantes con información si no les ayudamos a reflexionar sobre cómo pueden aplicar lo que aprenden en sus vidas cotidianas.
En la clase de Educación Religiosa, los estudiantes se sumergieron en un proyecto constructivo. Cada uno de ellos preparó un folleto en el que aplicaron las enseñanzas de Jesús, extraídas de los textos bíblicos correspondientes, a la realidad nacional, escolar y familiar.
