Escenografía con Propósito: Arte, Comunidad y Sostenibilidad sobre el Escenario

La escenografía del más reciente montaje teatral del colegio no solo fue un elemento estético, sino el resultado tangible de un proceso profundamente colaborativo. Estudiantes, docentes y voluntarios se unieron en una experiencia de construcción comunitaria, donde el arte emergió del trabajo conjunto, la creatividad compartida y una apuesta decidida por la sostenibilidad.

El material protagonista fue el cartón reciclado, transformado con ingenio en estructuras visuales que respondían tanto a las necesidades escénicas como a un compromiso ambiental consciente. Desde los primeros bocetos hasta los detalles finales, cada fase del diseño y montaje fue una sinfonía de voces, ideas y manos trabajando al unísono.

Pero esta creación no ocurrió en un vacío. Estuvo en diálogo constante con el guion, las coreografías y la secuencia de escenas. La escenografía, más que un fondo, se convirtió en un personaje activo: acompañó los movimientos, potenció la narrativa y amplificó la atmósfera de cada momento. Su presencia, integrada armónicamente con la música y la iluminación, aportó a la magia teatral que vivió el público.

Este proyecto demostró que el arte escénico también puede ser una plataforma para educar en valores: sostenibilidad, cooperación y compromiso con una visión compartida. En definitiva, una obra que se construyó con cartón, pero que dejó huella en el corazón de quienes la hicieron posible.

The scenography of the school’s most recent theatrical production was not just an aesthetic element, but the tangible result of a deeply collaborative process. Students, teachers, and volunteers came together in a community-building experience, where art emerged from joint effort, shared creativity, and a strong commitment to sustainability.

The leading material was recycled cardboard, cleverly transformed into visual structures that met the production’s scenic needs while honoring an environmentally conscious approach. From the first sketches to the final touches, every phase of the design and construction process was a symphony of voices, ideas, and hands working in harmony.

But this creation didn’t happen in a vacuum. It was in constant dialogue with the script, choreography, and sequence of scenes. The scenography, more than a backdrop, became an active character: it accompanied the movements, enhanced the narrative, and amplified the atmosphere of each moment. Its presence, harmoniously integrated with music and lighting, contributed to the theatrical magic the audience experienced.

This project showed that the performing arts can also be a platform to educate in values such as sustainability, cooperation, and commitment to a shared vision. In short, a work built with cardboard that left a lasting mark on the hearts of those who made it possible.
